Special Courses

All year long we offer regular language courses. Our students may also enjoy these special activity courses.

“Latin Dance and Spanish at ALE”

This program integrates two main areas of the culture: language and communication through dance.
For two weeks the student attends Spanish lessons from Monday through Friday in the mornings. The groups are small and there are six levels.

Native and Caribbean professional dancers teach the Latin and Afrocaribbean rhythms during the afternoons. The participants learn the most popular and distinctive dances of our culture. Merengue, Salsa, Cha-cha-cha, Son, Bachata and Cumbia are some of them. The course includes four lessons of history of instruments and rhythms.

To achieve total immersion in the culture, students stay in single rooms with Costa Rican host families. This allows them to practice the language and enjoy Costa Rican food.
